VOLLEYBALL HAS RECORD-BREAKING SEASON
In a record-breaking season, the Westy Wolves Girls Varsity Volleyball team made it to the Regional playoffs last weekend before being ousted in tough matches against Cherokee Trail and Broomfield High Schools.
It was a miraculous season for the team which went undefeated in league play going 12-0 and bringing the league championship home for the first time in the school’s volleyball history.
The team finished the season with a 21-4 record.
Coach Justin Adcock received Coach of the Year honors from the Rocky Mountain League - a first for a Westminster coach since the new school was founded in 2010.
Players were also honored by the league, many of whom will be back next year ensuring that the team will remain competitive.
Junior Jarely Sanchez and Freshman Kiara Deleon were selected to 1st team all-conference. Sophomore Eileen Deleon was chosen 2nd team all-conference. Juniors Rose Ruiz and Alyia Gonzalez received an honorable mention.
