Metropolitan Arts Academy

 

Emma is an all-around superstar at the Met. She acts, sings, performs, and plays sports. Plus, she believes in her teachers and her fellow students and loves to give back.

 

Principal Claudette Trujillo writes, “Emma embodies the spirit of our school. Not only is she a talented actress, but she is also very committed to her academic performance and to being a good human. She models exemplary behavior through perseverance, honesty, and responsibility. We are excited to be a part of Emma’s journey!”

 

I like to act and I play softball. Pitcher, catcher, and shortstop. My brother, Nicasio plays baseball.

 

Favorite Food: Enchiladas

 

Favorite Athlete/Sport/Team: My favorite athlete is my brother. My favorite sport is softball and I love pitching when I play. My favorite team is The Rockies.

 

Who is your favorite performer: Taylor Swift

 

What is your favorite movie: Moana

 

What music or podcast are you listening to now: “Beautiful Things”

 

Favorite thing to do in my free time: I normally just go to my room and relax, but I also go to baseball and softball games a lot both for me and my brother Nicasio.

 

Favorite Animal: I have two. Turtles and elephants.

 

Favorite Part of Being at The Met: There are the arts and plays at the Met that I love. I love all the teachers too. I plan on trying out for the spring musical “Moana Jr.”

 

Superpower I wish I had: The Elements - They would be fun to have as a superpower.

 

What has WPS meant to you: WPS has meant a lot to me. I get a chance to learn about all the arts and all the things that truly shine about being at The Met. I am so proud of our school.

 

Best school memory: I got the lead part in Best Birthday Party Ever which was our school musical.

 

Teacher or coach who has inspired me the most: My mom has inspired me the most. Also Ms. Schelofsky. My mom because she has shown me a lot of things and she is my softball coach. Also, Ms. Schelofsky brings the happiness out in everyone.
