STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: ARPIT POUDEL
Arpit is a level 8 student at John E Flynn, A Marzano Academy, and loves being in middle school. He is a standout student who applies himself to his academics in hopes of someday being a scientist or medical practitioner.
Rockstar literacy teacher, Mr. Seth Abbott writes, “Arpit is an exceptional student whose hard work, determination, and positive attitude inspire everyone around him. Despite facing physical challenges and spending much of his time in a wheelchair, Arpit’s perseverance has never wavered. He is always eager to learn, never complains, and consistently strives to achieve more. His gratitude for education and life shines through in everything he does, making him one of the most remarkable students we have ever had the privilege to teach. Arpit’s resilience and dedication are truly admirable, and we are proud to highlight him as a shining example of what it means to never give up.”
WPS and Flynn are so proud to have Arpit as a student.
What do you want to become someday?
I have been dreaming of becoming an astronaut. So, I'm going to study in the science field like engineering. If I don't get chosen, then I’m looking to be a nurse or a doctor.
Favorite Food: Fries and chicken nuggets.
Favorite Athlete/Sport/Team: I don't have a favorite sports team, because I don't like to play sports.
What music or podcast are you listening to now: I like to listen to some gaming music. I also like Sunflower.
Favorite thing to do in my free time: My favorite thing to do in my free time is play video games. Especially Roblox!
Favorite Animal: Squirrels.
Favorite Part of Being at Flynn: My favorite part of being at Flynn is the teachers making the learning fun and engaging. I also love being in middle school, since there are monthly celebrations and Outdoor Education field trips.
Superpower I wish I had: Flying.
What has WPS meant to you: They make sure each student knows the learning material so we are successful.
Best school memory: The best school memory has to be Outdoor Ed for me, because it's so fun to go and hang out with your friends and also see nature.
Teacher or coach who has inspired me the most: The teacher who has inspired me the most has to be Mr. Abbott. He is such a good teacher who wants his students to write better and prepare them for high school and their future. He also makes sure every student is not left out from fun activities! For example, he helped me to go to OutDoor Ed which I wanted to go to.
