Staff Spotlight | Jennette Kuxhausen

Jennette Kuxhausen | Learning Services Executive Assistant

Jennette has been a rock star in Learning Services for over a decade. She grew up in Colorado, but spent 15 years in Oklahoma serving as the activity scheduler for a local school district. Upon moving back to Colorado, she went to work right away with WPS. She is the proud mother of 4 kids and 9 grandkids.

“Jennette exemplifies professionalism in every aspect of her work,” says Chief Learning Officer Dr. Brian Kosena. “She consistently demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. She is always learning and seeking opportunities to grow and improve, which contributes to the success of our entire team. Her willingness to go the extra mile and support others makes her an invaluable team member who elevates the work of everyone around her.”

Years in WPS: 11 years

Favorite Food: Nachos

Favorite quote or mantra: Be brave. Be kind.

Favorite Athlete/Sports Team: All the Denver sports teams.

What are your hobbies: Spending time with friends and family.

What I am listening to right now: Edge of Collapse on Audible. I love end-of-the-world and science fiction stories the most. I love being able to let science fiction paint the picture inside of your own imagination.

Superpower I wish I had: I would freeze time and spend more time in the precious moments.

If I could make the world a better place in one way: I would get rid of fossil fuels and nuclear energy.

What has Westminster Public Schools meant to you? It has meant continuous learning. From students to staff, there is always something new to learn in WPS!

Who inspires me in WPS (staff, parent, or student):  Dr. Gotto and Dr. Kosena. Dr. Gotto is a true inspiration - if it can be done, then we can do it. Brian likes to say, “Life is about the journey,” and I remind myself about that every day.
