A NOTE FROM SUPERINTENDENT GOTTO | NOVEMBER 13
Dear Westminster Public Schools Community,
Thank you!
Last week WPS voters gave their overwhelming support to 4C and passed an important bond that will allow us to expand the Iver C. Ranum Innovation Campus and make other important investments in our school district.
This edition of What’s up WPS has a more detailed account of our plans for the future, so I won’t go into that in this space. I want to let you know what your support means to me and the staff and students of our school district.
As we all know, this was a very divisive election season, with voters having very different views about issues and priorities. The fact that approximately 70 percent of voters supported a continued investment in WPS specifically and education in general sends an important message.
That message is that the hard work we are doing here in Westminster Public Schools matters and that people realize that a solid education opens doors for students who want a better future for themselves, their families, and their community.
The election outcome also shows that you, the voters, trust us to spend your hard-earned tax dollars wisely and make good decisions about how that money is spent. I can assure you that we do not take that support lightly and will continue to put children first.
Again, thank you from everyone in Westminster Public Schools.
Warm regards,
Dr. Jeni Gotto
Superintendent of Schools
